SECTION 24.2-221. Time and frequency of referenda on election and term of supervisors  

A referendum as provided in § 24.2-219 or § 24.2-219 shall be held only in the year preceding the year in which a general election for supervisors is to be held. Once a referendum on either question is held, no further referendum on either question may be held in the county for a period of four years.
