SECTION 6.2-1500. (Effective until January 1, 2021) Definitions |
As used in this chapter, unless the context requires a different meaning: "Consumer finance company" means a person engaged in the business of making loans to individuals for personal, family, household, or other nonbusiness purposes. "License" means a single license issued under this chapter with respect to a single place of business. "Licensee" means a consumer finance company to which one or more licenses have been issued. "Principal" means any person who, directly or indirectly, owns or controls (i) 10 percent or more of the outstanding stock of a stock corporation or (ii) a 10 percent or greater interest in another person.
