SECTION 38.2-1362. Examination authority  


The acts of a managing general agent are considered to be the acts of the insurer on whose behalf it is acting. A managing general agent may be examined pursuant to Article 4 (§ 38.2-1317 et seq.) of this chapter as if it were the insurer. In addition, the managing general agent shall be subject to examination pursuant to § 38.2-1317 if it or any of its officers, directors, agents, or employees is licensed as a producer under Chapter 18 (§ 38.2-1317 et seq.) of this title.
